Research carried out across Wales has shown that social care workers believe their work should be recognised as a profession. Many have asked ‘why can’t we have our own professional body to support and represent us'? The Academy of Care Practitioners has been set up to respond to this demand, and aims to promote, support and develop care practitioners and raise standards in social care provision.
